A paper, a paper, and cute as a button
March 14, 2008I have two papers due next week, along with some time intensive researching for my Rationalists final. Luckily, I have been recently armed with the UCSD Philosophy departments’ official button; being seen around campus with this fabulous light blue accessory, you too can spread the pithy depths of modern philosophy, “Philosophy…think about it.”
I guess you could say that I am underwhelmed.
Off the top of my head, here are some better philosophy department slogans.

I’d definitely go “Philosophy…since 471 B.C.” These days if you’re going to make a button you gotta make it clever.
I like….”Philosophy….the major makes the man”. I say you make your own pin with that saying in it. You are the “man” you know……….despite the pin.
Philosophy – it’s why you got out of bed this morning.
